The Talkeetna Hideaway is a family owned and operated business located halfway between Anchorage and Denali National Park. The Guesthouse offers travelers all of the comforts of home while they explore Alaska. We are proud to count Denali mountaineers, Iditarod film crews and fans, long-distance motorcyclists, small plane pilots, solo travelers, families and adventurers from all over the world, as our guests. The Talkeetna Hideaway is tucked away, off the beaten path, yet convenient to all of Talkeetna’s attractions. We are a 5-minute walk to the airport and a 10-minute walk to Talkeetna’s bustling Main street.

The Guesthouse

We pride ourselves on providing a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for all of our guests. The open-concept common area includes a fully equipped kitchen with complementary coffee, tea, and snacks. A large dining table that seats 8 accommodates families and new friends alike. Guests can relax and interact with other visitors or kick back and enjoy the comfortable couches and flat-screen TV with Netflix. There is also a quiet, reading nook on the 2nd floor. Free WIFI internet is available throughout the building. Coin-operated washers and dryers are located in the laundry room with complementary detergent and fabric softener sheets. There are 9 guest rooms in the two-story Guesthouse. 2 rooms have en-suite, private bathrooms with showers. There are 3 full bathrooms with showers, and 2 individual, private shower rooms that are available to all of our guests. Each bathroom contains shampoo/conditioner, natural soap and a hairdryer for guests' use. We have an entrance ramp to the Guesthouse and a wheelchair accessible bathroom and shower on the ground floor.
